Tracey
McAlister is a proud mother of four
children and has a great passion for dance.
In 2003, (After a 14 year break
from dancing), Tracey decided to follow her dreams and return to
dance training to finish what she had started many years earlier
which was to complete her
qualifications and become a dance teacher.
This has now turned out to be
one of the most rewarding decision her life.
Her goal in returning to
studies was to not only receive accreditation in dancing but to also
start her own dancing school. Three years later in 2006 Pegasus
Dancing Academy was founded. In 2007 Tracey
completed a Licentiate Ballet (ballet's highest level) through
the Society of Education in Dance and Theatre Arts (EDTA)
with a result of Special Merit Honors.
As dance is an
ever-changing art form Miss Tracey continues to train and update
her skills. In 2008 she not only completed 3 separate
exams with 2 x honours achievements and 1 distinction, she also
competed in the EDTA National Ballet Awards and
won the 'Open' section. Since then Miss Tracey has
completed many more personal exams and has commenced external
studies.
Because of her
commitment to excellence Pegasus not only employs its own Senior
students but also employs external teachers who are leaders in
their own fields.
Miss Tracey believes that
people never stop learning and she sees it as a privilege to pass on
her up to date knowledge onto those who also have
a passion for dance and want to learn. |
